The major equipment manufacturers recently announced several personnel changes in their South American operations.

John Deere named Sergio Fernandez as its new CEO in Argentina at the end of February. Fernandez assumed the position March 1. He joined John Deere in 1990 as a product engineer in Rosario. In 1995, he was named product engineer supervisor and in 1999 was promoted as product, manufacturing and maintenance manager. In 2003, he assumed the position of operations manager and since 2006 has been the factory manager for Granadero Baigorria in the province of Santa Fe. Prior to working at John Deere, Fernandez was a professor at the National University of Rosario and an engineer at Manferro. He replaces Gaston Trajtenberg, who assumed the post as sales director for Latin America.

New Holland Agriculture named Gustavo Taniguchi as the new marketing director for South American operations. Taniguchi has worked for CNH Industrial for 12 years. He started at Iveco as a communication analyst and was promoted to coordinator of Marketing and Events. Taniguchi will work in the Brazilian headquarters in the state of Sao Paulo.

Massey Ferguson has appointed Susana Tellería as its new sales manager for Argentina. She has over 20 years of experience in the areas of sales and business development. Her previous position was business development manager at the Belectric/Innogy Group. Tellería will report to Gustavo Meyer, commercial manager in Argentina.
