According to Ag Equipment Intelligence’s second annual survey to farmers about shortline equipment preferences, farmers continue to buy shortline equipment due to the “quality for the price” and the major-lines’ lack of experience in niche areas.
Titan International, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of off-highway wheels, tires, assemblies, and undercarriage products, today reported results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2022.
Even with the worsening conflict between Russia and Ukraine, some South American companies have reported to have received more orders for agricultural machinery.
According to Brazil’s National Supply Company (Conab), the country is projected to increase its second corn crop surface by 7% and expects to set a new record of 86 million metric tons.
"We were able to pick up right where we left off in 2021 with another stellar quarter to begin the year," stated Paul Reitz, president and chief executive officer.
Based on preliminary results of Ag Equipment Intelligence’s 2022 Big Dealer Report, dealer consolidation is continuing to pick up. While the total number of big dealers dropped to 195 from 197 last year, the total number of stores owned by big dealers increased from 2,358 in 2021 to 2,471 this year, an increase of about 4%.
