The results of this year’s Big Dealer Report found the continuation of a trend noted in the 2021 Big Dealer Report: Caterpillar dealers are separating from their AGCO business, particularly within the last few years.
While John Deere’s policy of sacking what they see as under-performing or less ambitious dealers in favor of enlarging the territories of those regarded as more capable and committed ones, AGCO’s Route 66 policy is a little more benign as managers seek to separate Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Valtra distribution channels.
AGCO reported its results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. Net sales for the second quarter were approximately $2.9 billion, an increase of approximately 43.5% compared to the second quarter of 2020.
