CNH Industrial reported strong results for the fourth quarter of 2020, with consolidated revenues of $8.5 billion (up 10%) and adjusted EBIT of Industrial Activities of $520 million (up 73%).
CNH Industrial has announced that it has successfully concluded the deal to acquire the 4 businesses from CEG, a business unit of Humulani Marketing Pty Ltd, ultimately owned by Invicta Holdings Limited.
CNH Industrial posted solid third quarter earnings, largely due to increased demand for the agriculture segment. The company says all divisions performed ahead of earlier expectations. Consolidated revenues for the quarter were $6.5 billion, up 2% vs. the same period of 2019.
Subject to competition commission approval, CNH Industrial is to acquire selected assets from its Case IH importer in South Africa by the end of this year to create its own in-house operation.
Sales of CNH Industrial farm machinery — including Case IH and New Holland brands — declined 18% in the second quarter of the year to $2.5 billion vs. $3.1 billion a year earlier.
In a press release, the company announced its acquisitions of 4 South African distributors. These include distributors of Case IH equipment, CASE Construction equipment, spare parts and implements.
The company will ship equipment from the Case IH, New Holland and CASE Construction brands to support Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, specifically its cotton production, the country’s principal cash crop.
Case IH has announced the appointment of Ville Mansikkamäki to the role of vice president Case IH Europe. He will follow Thierry Panadero, who has taken up the position of head of CNH Industrial’s Agriculture Europe Commercial Operations.
The company confirmed that 75% of its European facilities and 60% of its plants in North America, South America and the Rest of the World were open and operational to varying degrees.
