BELGRADE (Serbia), Sept. 9 (SeeNews) — U.S. agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere plans to invest up to €6 million ($6.6 million) in the construction of a logistics complex in Serbia, according to published reports.

The logistics facility will be constructed in Sremska Mitrovica, in northern Serbia, news daily Politika quoted agriculture minister Branislav Nedimovic as saying on Friday. Work will start in the second half of 2019, Nedimovic said, adding that John Deere had recently acquired a plot of land in Sremska Mitrovica for the construction of the complex. The company plans to build six logistic complexes in Serbia, say local officials.
