The latest data from Statistics Canada on Canada’s agricultural implement manufacturing industry (NAICS 33311) reveals that 80.2% of all Canadian ag implement manufacturing exports went to the U.S. in 2022, up from 77.5% in 2021. The total value of those exports was $2.31 billion, up 33.2% from $1.73 billion in 2021. Canada’s ag implement exports to the U.S. have risen at a faster rate (+66.4%) than its ag implement exports (+65.3%) to all countries over the last 5 years. 

By state, Iowa received the greatest value in Canadian ag implement exports last year at $198.7 million, up 40.8% year-over-year after receiving the second-highest value in 2021. Canadian exports in ag implements to Illinois totaled $193.3 million last year, the second-highest in the year and a 34.7% year-over-year increase.
