Between 1948 and 2015, the relative prices of machinery use, fertilizer and purchased services to wages have dropped by more that 60%.

Note: Data show ratios of machinery use, fertilizer and purchased services prices to labor wages, respectively. They are expressed with an index that is calculated relative to the data in 2005, where data in 2005 are set to equal 1. The declining trends of the three series indicate that prices for machinery use, fertilizer and purchased services increased slower than labor wages.
