The market for new tractor sales in Ireland surged last year as both tillage and livestock farmers were buoyed by improved commodity prices and Covid-related supply issues eased.
At 2,366 units, the number of tractors sold and delivered was 23.8% up on the prior year, which at 1,910 units in 2020 declined by 2.9% from a market in 2019 that peaked following two years of a rising trend.
