Houston — Hlavinka Equipment Co., with headquarters in East Bernard, Texas, has entered into a definitive agreement to sell select assets related to existing Kubota dealership operations in Rosenberg and Bay City to Lansdowne Moody Co. (LM Tractor) from Houston, Texas. Negotiations have been ongoing since last year related to a strategic initiative for all parties. The acquisition provides Lansdowne Moody additional locations in the greater Houston market to service and support consumer and industrial customers growing Lansdowne Moody’s footprint to 8 Kubota locations in the region.

Hlavinka represents world class manufactures, including Case IH, JCB, AGCO, CLAAS, and many others.  The transaction will allow Hlavinka to focus on many new and exciting developments to meet its objectives related to serving agricultural, industrial and international markets, especially in the high horsepower segment.

Collectively, Hlavinka and LM have been operating for more than 165 years in the great State of Texas.  Both organizations have been recognized in the region for their countless years of service and support to their communities.

Terry Hlavinka, president of Hlavinka Equipment said, “Our relationship with Lansdowne Moody has always been at the most highly professional level and we regard them as one of those organizations we respect immensely.  We would not have entered into an agreement with anyone that did not hold the same values and principles. Our existing customers will be well-served by this transaction and this is paramount.”

Hunter Harris, vice president of Lansdowne Moody said, “The landscape evolves over time. We are excited to take over this foundation started by the Hlavinka family and build upon this effort to expand our presence and footprint. We plan to leverage our Kubota experience in order to elevate the overall customer experience and expand our business.”

The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year.
