India’s largest tractor and farm machinery manufacturer has begun investing in non-iron agricultural technology for the first time.
Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector has spent the equivalent of $4.3 million acquiring an 11.5% stake in Gamaya SA, a Swiss start-up focused on crop imaging, data collection and analytical software for crop management decision-making support.
