According to published reports, Kansas-based KanEquip has acquired the 5 dealer locations of Straub International.

KanEquip handles Case IH and New Holland Agriculture equipment lines. Prior to the acquisition of Straub, the dealership group operated 9 stores in Dodge City, Ellsworth, Garden City, Herington, Marysville, Ottawa, Topeka and Wamego, Kan. It also has a store location in Syracuse, Neb., as well as a field support office in Wamego, Kan.

With the acquisition, the dealership will add 5 locations in Great Bend, Hutchison, Pratt, Salina and Witchita, Kan.

“This acquisition will increase our Case IH territory, from operating around Wamego, Dodge City and Ottawa, to operating in 10 additional counties in central Kansas and northern Oklahoma,” said Craig Goff, KanEquip’s general manager.

Larry Straub, CEO of Straub International, added, “While we remain excited about the prospects for agriculture, we feel this is a very good time for us to move aside with recent industry changes and developments.”

Six of KanEquip’s stores represent New Holland brand equipment exclusively. Two locations sell and support both New Holland and Case IH. With this agreement, KanEquip will have 6 locations that sell Case IH exclusively. All 14 locations sell and support multiple additional vendors.
