According to a report posted on its website this morning (Aug. 10), Redline Equipment is acquiring the Case IH store locations in Indiana of Koenig Equipment. Koenig Equipment was one of the very few dealership groups that owned and operated both John Deere and Case IH dealerships. Its Case IH operations are all located in Indiana and its Deere store locations are in Ohio.

The Redline report reads, “We’re pleased to share that Redline Equipment (formally known as Archbold Equipment) has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets and operations of the four Koenig Equipment Indiana Case IH locations. It includes four locations: Gas City, Huntington, Logansport and Rossville. The ownership change is set to take place in mid-September.

“When Koenig’s approached us, we saw this as an opportunity with a mature set of stores,” Zach Hetterick, Redline Equipment CEO said. “The addition of these locations will also strengthen our current location in Topeka, Indiana.”

Lisa Reffett, director of parts at Redline Equipment, who lives in the area will lead the transition and integration of these locations.

“While we plan to take over ownership in September and we’re excited to bring these locations into our company, they will operate as a separate business until we are able to completely merge our computer, accounting and phone systems. This will happen in phases and we expect to be fully integrated by the end of the year.

“We look forward to joining forces with the employees there, getting to know these new customers and learning how we can serve these communities,” Hetterick said.

Koenig’s John Deere stores are located in Anna, Greenville, Oxford, Urbana, Botkins, Germantown and Tipp City, Ohio. Koenig Equipment is headquartered in Botkins, Ohio.
