The owners of Gause Equipment in Lisbon, Ohio, announced that the company has joined the Evolution Ag family of Case IH dealerships. Pat and Mike Zehentbauer said that the company will continue to operate at its current location on Ohio 172 near Lisbon.

Pat Zehentbauer said, “When we made the decision to sell the business, Frank, Mike and I wanted to know that our customers and employees would remain the highest priority. Evolution Ag is a company that is working hard to provide a high level of customer service and treats its employees as partners. We believe they will be a great fit for our community and for our employees.”

Headquartered in Delaware, Ohio, Evolution Ag LLC was formed in 2012 as the result of a merger between Agri-Trac Equipment in Utica, Hill Implement in Circleville and J.R. Equipment in Upper Sandusky and Delaware, Ohio. The company boasts a combined experience record of serving agricultural producers for over 175 years. Jim Henkel, Chairman of Evolution Ag said, “I have known Frank and Pat Zehentbauer for many years and our dealerships have helped each other numerous times. I am excited that Evolution Ag will be picking up the baton and carrying on the Case IH agricultural equipment line in the Lisbon and Columbiana county area.  They have taken great pride in serving four generations of farmers and we plan on continuing that tradition.”

Gause Equipment was started as Gause and Richey Farm Supply in 1956 by Pat Zehentbauer’s father, Charles J. Gause, and his business partner, Francis Richey. It later became Gause Equipment at Mr. Richey’s passing and the purchase of the company by Pat and Frank Zehentbauer. Gause Equipment was the first dealer in the area to become dealers for Cub Cadet and was ranked in the top 100 dealers nationally for 25 years.

The company will continue to sell and service Cub Cadet, Unverferth, Kuhn, Woods, Knight, Grasshopper and Remlinger at the Lisbon location.
