Mainero, one of the largest agricultural implement makers in Argentina, has announced an expansion plan to supply the domestic demand as well as demand from other countries.
FPT Industrial, an arm of the CNH Group, announced it has started to manufacture the N45 Euro 45 engine in its factory in Cordoba, Argentina. Previously, the engine was imported from Brazil.
Brazilian company Jacto announced it intends to expand its spraying business in Argentina. The company looks to sell 900-1,000 sprayers in the country in 2021 and grow at least 20% by 2022. In order to achieve this goal, the company says it will market more models to the country through the rest of the year.
Data released by Argentina’s National Institute of Statistics and Census (Indec) reveal that the sales revenue of agricultural machinery increased, but only in nominal terms. This means that sales were only up due to the high inflation in the country.
Pushed by strong demand of producers, favored by higher international commodity prices, the Argentinian Chamber of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (Cafma) reports that the sector has committed 99% of the orders that will take place until the end of the year.
Argentina’s National Institute of Statistics and Census (Indec) recently reported agricultural machinery sales in the country during the first quarter totaled AR$ 25.27 billion ($266 million). This is 93.4% higher compared to the same quarter of 2020.
