Ag equipment sales growth accelerated sequentially in December, and inventories began to recover in 2WD categories but remain near trough levels for 4WD tractors and combines, according to analysis from RW Baird Senior Research Analyst Mircea (Mig) Dobre.
Growth in both ag tractors and combines continues in the U.S., while a slowdown in combines in Canada brings overall unit sales slightly below 2020 north of the border, according to the latest data from the Assn. of Equipment Manufacturers.
100+ horsepower tractors generated retail sales in November that were 380 units above our monthly forecast and YTD retail sales were 4,079 units, or 24.2% above our YTD forecast.
Large ag equipment retail sales showed solid growth in September, despite the fact that comparisons continue to get tougher and inventories remain below last year, says Mircea (Mig) Dobre, senior research analyst with RW Baird.
Monthly retail sales of 100+ horsepower tractors was 545 units above our monthly forecast while the YTD total retail sales was 2,306 units above our YTD forecast.
Growth rates remained solid in June, though growth moderated sequentially on much tougher comps for large ag, said Analyst with RW Baird Mircea “Mig” Dobre in a recent note.

And as Trimble’s Cory Buchs tells us, one of the best things about it is it retrofits to existing sprayers.
