KFYR TV, Bismarck, N.D., reports that the town of Dickinson's Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new business to town with a ribbon cutting ceremony this afternoon. Butler Machinery, which sells and services Caterpillar construction equipment and AGCO farm equipment, is now open.

Dickinson's Chamber of Commerce welcomed the newest member this afternoon and thanked the company for filling a need in the region. "We should have been here, had a footprint in here, years ago. It`s huge for the Dickinson community. We've already got 22 full-time personnel here, and we're looking at hiring at least 15 more technicians," said Butler Machinery's Parts Leadman Curt Koppinger.

Dickinson's Chamber of Commerce said this new facility is a great example of the city's booming economy. "We have lots of jobs to fill. We've got around 600 jobs that we're looking to fill here in the community. It's challenging, but it's a great problem to have," said Lexi Sebastian, the chamber's executive director.

Not only does Butler Machinery's new facility sell parts and equipment, it also has a 13,000 square feet garage to service trucks and equipment.

Customers are convinced the facility will be a huge success. "With all the oilfield and the construction work around here, I think it will be a pretty good deal for the area," said O'Brien.

The company said it will probably look to hire more people to fill sales and administrative positions as it grows. Qualified technicians looking for work are encouraged to apply online at www.butlermachinery.com.
