According to a July 11 report from Nikkei Asia, Kubota plans to invest $2.2 billion in new overseas plants by 2030, including in the U.S. and India.
The article states Kubota aims to have half of its equipment production be outside Japan, whereas it currently stands at 30%, driven by increasingly disrupted global supply chains and rising freight costs. The investment plan is also aimed at reducing the impact of currency exchange rates.
