Covid-enforced online sales of used farm tractors and other agricultural equipment helped UK auctioneer Cheffins rack-up record revenues from machinery sales in 2021.
The company’s monthly Cambridge Machinery Sales held in the east of England regularly attract buyers from overseas but the introduction of online sales to replace physical auctions exposed sale lots to a wider audience.
Likewise, the company’s dispersal sales for farmers and custom operators also attracted strong online participation and bids.
