The Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange has updated its estimates for the corn and soybean surface in Argentina. The corn surface would jump to a record of 24.9 million acres, 7% more than the 2019-20 season. In the meantime, the soybean area would fall to 40.7 million acres, which is 2% less than the previous season. According to local analysts, farmers respond to export tax rates put at 33% on soybeans and 12% on corn.
