Mahindra USA, the number one selling tractor in the world based on volume, announces plans for an exclusive Southeast Mahindra Assembly and Distribution Center in January 2014, expanding one of the company's four tractor assembly and distribution facilities in North America. The expanded assembly and distribution center will continue to be located in Chattanooga, Tenn., and will support the growing southeast and midwest Mahindra dealer networks.

The Southeast Mahindra Assembly and Distribution Center will be operated by Randy Topping, owner of Mahindra dealer Chattanooga Tractor and Equipment. The center will have a positive impact on the Chattanooga area economy. Southeast Mahindra will build a new facility and employ up to 100 people in the operation as it moves into full production, creating 55 new jobs.

"This investment in the expansion of our North American facilities will provide the additional capacity needed to support the rapid growth of the Mahindra brand,” said Mani Iyer, President of Mahindra USA. "We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Randy Topping and Chattanooga Tractor and Equipment.”

“Broadening our operations beyond the typical scope of a dealership gives Southeast Mahindra the ability to deliver industry-best product shipping times to our customers,” said Randy Topping, President of Southeast Mahindra. “Demand for the Mahindra product line is rapidly growing in the U.S. and to support the growing market share, this will be a dedicated assembly and distribution facility.”

“This new facility will help us sustain Mahindra's customer-first strategy by enhancing our service and support capabilities in the southeast and midwest regions. It will enable us to continue to provide quality service to our rapidly growing customer base, without any service interruption during the expansion process,” said Cleo Franklin, Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Planning, Mahindra USA.

"Topping has done an outstanding job of supplying our dealers throughout the region, even as demand for our products has increased,” said Sunil Rajput, Head of Operations and Supply Chain, Mahindra USA. “Chattanooga is a great location for Southeast Mahindra's assembly and distribution facility; it is well connected to Mahindra supplier partners as well as our fast growing dealer network.”
