According to a report from Global Atlanta, Kubota has closed its two manufacturing plants in Georgia through April 13, located in Gainesville and Jefferson. The plants will be disinfected following 3 of Kubota's employees being diagnosed with COVID-19.

The closures will put 3,000 employees out of work. Kubota has confirmed the affected staff will continue to receive salary and benefits while on leave. The Gainesville facility manufactures small tractors and utility vehicles and the Jefferson facility assembles larger tractors and tractor implements.
