One of India’s leading manufacturers of farm equipment is entering the potato and root crop sector through a joint venture with Grimme, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of planting, harvesting and bulk handling products for such crops.
The 50:50 venture will give Grimme a foothold in the world’s second largest potato growing country after China, where the German company began assembling potato harvesters in 2018.
