The off-highways vehicle components business of GKN is being purchased by a U.S.-based private equity group that is part-owner of a Russian agricultural and industrial tire business.
One Equity Partners, which has offices in New York and Chicago, as well as Frankfurt and Amsterdam, is buying the operation from Melrose Industries, the turnaround specialist that secured ownership of Britain’s GKN engineering group last year.
