New Zealand Tractor and Machinery Assn. (TAMA) president John Tulloch said sales of tractors are up 17% year-to-date at the end of September and could set a record by year-end. TAMA figures show a total of 3,355 retail sales across all horsepower categories compared to 2,865 in 2017. Tulloch added there was, advisedly, a cautionary approach to spending in the industry. Despite that, sales could hit a calendar year record or 4,500 units.
